Pennsylvania 2016: Sesame Place

I am still reeling from this past month. In less than a month we had a dance recital, went on a vacation to Pennsylvania, went on vacation to New Hampshire, and I did a 3 day stay in New York for Blogger Bash!

I feel like I haven't even unpacked my suitcase completely yet, never mind write about our trip but let's give it a try!

We actually spent 2 days at Sesame Place! The Any Day tickets come with a free second day so it really is a great value if you go twice! The best part is that the days don't have to be back to back! We left very early Sunday morning and since the kids were literally counting down to Sesame Place, we decided to go right after our early check in to our hotel. Sidenote: I will not write anything about our hotel.  NO matter how great the amenities were, our Hershey Park tickets went "missing" from our hotel room while we were at Sesame Place, and all we got was a "Our housekeeper says she didn't touch them, so maybe AAA can replace them for you instead".... yea... I digress.

Sesame Place itself was so much fun! We must have gone on the Merry Go Round at least 8 times and the kids loved the little rides and meeting the characters in the street. Tyler's favorite ride was the High Seas and Emmalee loved the Cloud Chaser and Snuffy's Slide.

Surprising to me, even though we've been before, was how many water rides there were.  The water fun areas of the park take up 2/3 off the whole park!

I love that they provided life jackets for the kids to wear; it made me feel that much better in addition to the lifeguards. There are lots of chairs to sit in, some umbrellas to sit under, and you can rent a locker or a cabana to hold your stuff while you're in the water.

After the water, we usually grab a show while we dry off.  The park offers a couple different shows and has a new schedule each day, printed on the daily map, so you know what is when.  We checked out Let's Play Together, it was super cute, and then we went to lunch!

I love the character meals at Sesame Place.  It's an all you can eat buffet for less than $30. The food is pretty good too! Emma had like 3 plates of roasted turkey and Tyler ate so many potatoes, chicken fingers, and so much mac and cheese! Dessert was delicious too: cookies, pudding, slices of cake... yum! Each character comes to the table for pictures and Elmo is set up for family pictures with the Sesame Place background. The meal ends with a dance party for all. It is so worth it to us.  Eating inside in a cool building, delicious food, plus the characters come to us instead of chasing them and waiting in line.

We loved Sesame Place and Emmalee can't wait to go back again.  I love that both her and Tyler loved the trip, but had very different experiences. Be sure to check out Sesame Places' special offers to save even more!

Be sure to check out the rest of our trip: Adventure AquariumHershey Park and the Please Touch Museum!

xo, Heather
