Two Identities

I feel like I am two people stuck in one body when I apply for jobs.

Person 1 is an education Masters student who has 3 certifications through the state of Massachusetts that range from Preschool, to middle school to high school with an additional elementary school one pending.
I've been working in schools as a teacher since I was a junior in high school doing a co-op for the preschool.  Then I was a lunch aide/recess helper, a 2nd grade classroom aide, and a substitute for 6 different school systems over 8 years.

Person 2 is an amazing salesperson, supervisor, and all around customer service expert. First job was at Best Buy at 16 and worked in a form of retail/sales ever since, going to Build A Bear, Circuit City and then into restaurants working at Friendlys. Factor in work as a Resident Assistant and Orientation Leader and it shows that Person 2 is an amazingly personable sales person.

But for some reason, these two people don't look right together on a resume.

Do schools care that I helped create and implement the training program we use in all of the corporate stores for every new hire?
Does a sales marketing job care that I have passed 6 different Massachusetts Teacher Educator Licensure tests?

Obviously my objective is different for both personalities
so how do I make those two personalities live harmoniously on the paper?
Does it seem like I don't have passion for either if my resume says Looking for A or B? I feel like it should only say one...

Do I really care which track I end up on?

No. Not at all.

Would I be happy if I spent the rest of my life teaching English to high schoolers? Yep.
Would I be happier than if I worked in an office, interacting with customers all day? I don't think so.

Why do I have to be one or the other?

10 months!! Yikes!

In two months she'll be a whole year old! Yikes!

I feel like Emmalee has grown by leaps and bounds in the past month.
She's becoming such a little person with a huge personality.
Always laughing and smiling.
So let's see....

At 10 months old you...

... feed yourself, all the time. You even use a sippy cup all by yourself and only use bottles for milk while mommy is at work. Your meals are usually what we are eating. Last night you had pasta and veggies, for breakfast you eat scrambled eggs, potatoes, ham, or waffles. You always want to eat what mommy and daddy have but your current favorite foods are mandarin oranges and string cheese!! Oh, and you're still breastfeeding 3 times a day!!

You can pull yourself to stand and if someone holds your hands, you'll move your feet but you can't wlak on your own yet. You are very impressed with your ability to stand and do it all the time, in the tubby, in bed, even in the middle of the floor where there's nothing to hold on to so you end up doing a very funny giraffe looking walk.

You have a teeth!! Two itty bitty baby ones on the bottom front of your mouth. You won't let me take a picture of them, but I love that I can see them!
You are starting to say words but I don't know if you know what they mean.  We sometimes here a "mama" or "dada" but it's mostly just random syllables still. With the amount you talk without real words, I can only imagine how much you are going to jabber when you have a true vocabulary.

Your favorite games to play right now are peek a boo, swinging the door open and closed,  moving things from one side of you to the other, and back, and pulling everything out of buckets.

As far as clothes, you are still wearing 9 month stuff but we've started trying to wear 12 month pants.  Your legs are so long but your waist is too tiny so they fall off if you crawl.

A few of your least favorite things: Having your hair washed, the vacuum, any motorized toys that sound like your vacuum.
A few of your favorite things: "helping" with the laundry, emptying your toy boxes onto the floor, kisses from Bailey, reading your books, taking tubbies, going for a walk in your car, and eating!

It's crazy to think that in just 2 short months, she'll be a year old!
Guess I should start addressing invitations!
