Little man is being very uncooperative and is not ready to go head down yet!
The doctor is a bit concerned since most babies have flipped by now but he is not ruling out little man flipping on his own yet.
To help him along, I can do some crazy things like moxibustion (google it-- it's worth it) or laying inverted for 20 minutes at a time. It's recommended that I put a heating pad on my pubic bone and an ice pack near my chest since some babies hate the cold and then will flip...
It all sounds crazy to me but I'm willing to do just about anything to avoid a c-section.
Who has a "I can't believe it worked" breech baby story to help me feel better?
Don't give up! Would your doctor be willing to let you wait as long as possible? Some babies don't flip until labor starts. Stubborn kids.... haha! I didn't have a breech baby, but my first son was posterior and would.not.turn. Ugh, labor with him was awful. My youngest- now, he wanted to stay put! I finally figured out at 41w2d that his head wasn't going past my pubic bone and thought he might be stuck. So I marched myself to the chiropractor's office. An adjustment did the trick! 4 hours later, labor started and only lasted 1 hour, 20 minutes. Maybe a chiro could help? Some will do something called the "Webster technique" for breech babes. Best of luck!
