Bowlaway Needham Ma

Staying socially distant is super important to us.  Yes, we stay busy but we are always masked and looking for companies and places that take it as seriously as we do. 

Emmalee has been itching to bowl and after a lengthy Google search, we found the Needham Bowlaway.

It's a smaller, candle pin bowling alley that has less than 10 lanes. It's pretty hidden, in an underground location but the kids just loved it. To help with social distancing, you have to reserve your lane in advance and prepay over the phone so when you come in all you need is to grab your shoes and get situated!

While there, only one other family was there and they were 4 rows away. 

Finding great socially distant outings is amazing, but supporting smaller business is just as great.  The kids had an amazing time and we'll be heading back for more bowling on the next rainy day!

The Needham Bowlaway can be found at 16 Chestnut St in Needham. It's $30 per lane per hour with a max of 4 players right now(for distancing) and shoe rentals are $3 a piece.

Cochituate State Park, Natick

I haven't found an ocean "close enough" to our new house, but I am so happy to report, we found a beach! It's a lake but still...

Cochituate State Park in Natick is absolutely perfect for us! It's a State Park so our State Parking Pass gets us in. 

There's a sandy beach, trees to put your chair under, a bathroom building, places to grill, and sometimes even the ice cream man comes by!

It's not exactly the beach but it will work for us for now!

Blueberries at Jane and Paul's Farm, Norfolk

Picking fresh fruit is a favorite activity of ours. Every Fall we go apple picking and every summer, we get as many blueberries as we can. 

This year, we found a new to us place, Jane and Paul's Farm in Norfolk. Again, social distancing is important to us and we wanted to find a place that took it seriously as well. Jane and Paul's Farm required masks and had sanitizer and rules for all. Prepaying for your basket to pick eliminates the need for extra hands touching the fruit. Additionally, not being allowed to eat the fruit while picking made it even safer for all.

Each kid got a $5 pint of blueberries and we spent roughly a half hour filling them up!

The blueberries were plump and delicious and still available to pick! Jane and Paul's Farm is located at 33 Fruit ST in Norfolk and open from 10-5 all week.
